Vikings Compete at NCAA North Regional Championships

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The Bethany Lutheran cross country team's Saturday sent six individuals to compete at the NCAA DIII North Regional Championships hosted by Carleton College. The Vikings sent a contingent of three men and three women to compete at the last chance qualifying event.

On the men's side Josiah Hoppe paced the Vikings, finishing 188th in his final career race with a 29:56.70. James Younge was the next finisher for Bethany, taking 200th with a time of 31:12.00, while Benjamin Halvorson took 213th with a time of 33:36.80.

Brooklyn Hart paced the Vikings on the women's side, finishing in 48th place overall with a time of 23:26.4. Next for Bethany was Angela Zaccaria who finished in 206th with a time of 28:41.2, while Taryn Zellmann was three spots behind her in 209th with a time of 29:14.4. Hart will now other times to be reported from around Division III, as her time has a chance of qualifying her for the national championships.
