ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. - Bethany men's soccer defeated Crown 3-0 on Saturday, improving to 6-5-2 overall and 6-1-0 in the UMAC.
The game-winning goal was an own goal on Crown in the 15th minute. Goncalo Nolasco gave the Vikings a 2-0 lead in the 27th minute, assisted by Miguel Goncalves and they held a two-goal lead at half with a 7-2 advantage in shots.
One minute into the second half, Ted Tendaie put the Vikings up by three, assisted by Diogo Cavalcanti. The Vikings outshot the Polars 16-3 overall and 9-1 on goal. Daniel Hughes stopped the one shot he faced.
Bethany next hosts Martin Luther at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
