ST. PAUL, Minn. - Bethany senior Maddie Meyer (Shakopee) has been named UMAC Volleyball Offensive Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Meyer hit a blistering .491 on the attack last week as Bethany went 2-1. Meyer totaled 40 kills (3.33 per set) and had two matches without committing an error. She had 11 kills on 26 attempts (0 errors) in a five-set loss at Carleton on 9/10. Meyer then totaled 12 kills on 27 attempts (2 errors) in a sweep over Caltech at the Macalester Invite on Saturday. And she finished the weekend with her best performance of 17 kills on 68 attempts (0 errors) for a .607 attack percentage in a 3-1 win over Simpson at Macalester. Meyer also totaled eight service aces, 11 blocks, and eight digs throughout the week.
