MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Bethany men's soccer handed North Central a decisive 6-0 loss Saturday afternoon. The Vikings extend their winning streak to four, improving to 4-4-2 overall and 4-0-0 in the UMAC.Â
Ted Tendaie scored the game-winner in the 22nd minute for his fifth goal of the season. Five minutes later, Gijs van Eldik tallied his first goal of the season unassisted. In the 37th minute, Diogo Cavalcanti netted his third goal of the season, and in the 41st minute, Carlson De La Vega connected with Bryan Jaimes for his second score of the year and the Vikings carried a 4-0 lead into halftime with a 13-2 advantage in shots.Â
Guilherme Gancho scored twice in the second half, increasing his team-high goal total to six this season.Â
Bethany outshot North Central 36-3 overall and 20-0 on goal. Tendaie applied the most pressure with five shots on goal (eight overall) in just 26 minutes. Daniel Hughes did not face a shot in goal.Â
The Vikings are off until next Saturday afternoon when they host UW-Superior.Â
