Men's Soccer

Late season wake-up call from St. Olaf

Box Score

Northfield, Minn. – The Vikes were thrashed by St. Olaf 7-0 Tuesday night in Northfield. The non-conference game marked the worst loss of the year for the Bethany Men.

Noah Heidorn (Fergus Falls, Minn./ Fergus Falls) played keeper for the men in the first half, allowing five goals, his defense was allowing backdoor cuts which continually set up good crosses across the goal for quality shots by the St. Olaf men.

Ryan Bolte (Colorado Springs, Colo. / Fountain Fort Carson) was moved to keeper at the half, he allowed two goals. The defense stepped it up a little bit in the second half, but still lacked obvious passion and pride. They played harder and more physical in the second half, but being down 5-0 at half proved to be too much to overcome in 45 minutes.

The Vikings will look for a turning point in their season; a good chance will be against MLC this Saturday in New Ulm. The game against the Knights will be a conference game.

The Vikings are now 3-7 overall and 1-4 in the conference.
