Bethany blanks Crown

Box Score ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. - One month ago, The Vikings' men's soccer team beat Crown in their home opener 6-2. Saturday at Crown, the result was even better for Bethany as they shutout the Storm 7-0.

Bethany scored early and often and it began with a Jacob Friendt goal in the game's fourth minute. Brady Johnson and Ben Moldstad added first half goals to put Bethany up 3-0 at the break.

Friendt started the scoring in the second half just as he did in the first by getting his second goal of the game in the 54th minute. Adam Kluball, Zak Fick, and Mark Bjork rounded Bethany's scoring.

The Vikings outshot the Storm 25-12 including a 14-4 edge in shots on goal. Ryan Bolte picked up the win in net for the Vikings who move to 7-3 in UMAC.

A key conference match is on deck for Bethany as they entertain Northwestern for a home tilt Friday at 3:15 p.m.
