Vikings extend unbeaten string to four

Box Score ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. - Bethany scored two late goals to extend their unbeaten streak to four with a 2-1 win over Crown Thursday in a UMAC men's soccer matchup.

The two teams appeared to be headed into the halftime break scoreless, but Crown's leading scorer, Truman Shetler, broke free and scored with 12 seconds remaining to put the Storm up 1-0.

The score remained that way through the first 25 minutes of the second half before the Vikings scored twice in a five minute span. Jacob Friendt scored his first goal of the season in the 73rd minute off a feed from Chan Park to knot the game at one. In the 77th minute, Ben Moldstad, Bethany's leading scorer, connected on an unassisted game-winner.

Matt Bitter had another good game in goal for Bethany making nine stops.
