Box Score WINONA, Minn. - The Bethany men's soccer team played in their final non-conference game before the UMAC opener Wednesday night in Winona against Saint Mary's University. The Cardinals used late first half momentum to catapult them to a 4-0 win over the Vikings.
The game seemed destined to go into halftime scoreless, but that changed with a mere four seconds remaining when SMU's Andrew Jaworski fed Jim Dreshar who got the ball past Bethany goalie
Matt Bitter to head into the break up 1-0.
Jaworski wasn't done getting his team on the board as he scored twice himself in the second half, one in the 68th minute and the squads last goal in the 77th minute.
The Vikings were outshot in the contest 26-9 as Bitter made nine saves.
Bethany (0-5) is off until September 19 when they host Minn.-Morris in the UMAC opener.
