Box Score MANKATO, Minn. - A day after earning a tie against Minn.-Morris, the Bethany men's soccer team entertained rival Martin Luther for a UMAC contest. In an evenly played battle, the Knights found their way to score one more goal to top the Vikings 3-2.
Martin Luther scored early when Colin Bahmer netted an unassisted goal in the game's fourth minute.
Ben Moldstad added a tying goal in the 32nd minute as he drilled home a loose ball in the front of the net; it was Moldstad's second goal in as many days. That tie wouldn't last long though as MLC's Aaron Markgraf gave the Knights the lead right back on a header moments later.
Isaiah Horn gave Martin Luther a 3-1 lead early in the second half.
Chan Park scored his first goal to put Bethany within 3-2 in the 62nd minute. Bethany kept the pressure on the rest of the game, but were not able to come away with an equalizing goal.
Bethany (0-6-1, 0-1-1) hits the road for their next matchup, Friday at St. Scholastica.
