Box Score ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. - The Vikings volleyball team hit the road for the first time in conference play Friday to take on Crown. A steady attack led Bethany to a sweep of the Storm 25-16, 25-16, 25-16.
Three Vikings had double digits in kills led by
Caitlin Decker who had 12.
Amanna Berthusen and
Kristen Mielke added ten a piece.
Emily Franzen had another stellar night with assists picking up 40.
Jessi Jurries led the squad with 13 digs.
Bethany raced out to a quick lead in the first set building a 9-1 lead getting kills from three different players including
Allie Van Hee who had a pair. The Vikings led comfortably the entire set.
The second set started out roughly the same one the first did with Bethany getting out to a quick advantage. The Vikings scored eight points before Crown was able to crack the scoreboard.
It was more of the same in the third set; Bethany led 12-3 after a nice serving run from
Morgan Wenninger which included four kills from Mielke.
Bethany (3-8, 2-1 in UMAC) travel to Morris Saturday to take on the Cougars at 1 p.m.
