Box Score Men's Soccer team falls to North Central in Double Overtime

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Bethany men's soccer team took on North Central Friday afternoon in their second UMAC game of the season. In the very physical, highly contested matchup, the Vikings fell to the Rams by a score of 2-1 in double overtime.Â
Bethany (0-6-1, 0-2-1) and North Central (1-4, 1-2) remained scoreless for the duration of the first half. The Rams scored the first goal of the match off the foot of freshman Isiah Zilka in the 68th minute of play. The Vikings answered back seven minutes later asÂ
Michael Loguerico (Tavernier, Fla./Coral Shores (Florida Keys CC) intercepted a pass between two Rams defenseman and then shooting on an uncovered North Central net to tie the game at 1-1.
North Central then answered with a game-winning goal two minutes into the second overtime to earn the victory over the Vikings.
