Box Score Volleyball team earns 3-1 win over Crown on the road

ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. – The volleyball team hit the road for another non-conference match against the Crown Storm. The Vikings and Storm met just three days earlier at the UMAC Preview hosted by the Vikings where the outcome was similar, in favor of Bethany.

Alex Hansen (Austin, Minn.),
Kristen Mielke (New Germany, Minn./Mayer Lutheran), and
Meagan Sons (Green Isle, Minn./Central) were the hot hands for the Vikings tonight, as both Hansen and Mielke recorded 16 kills for the Vikings offense, while Sons wasn't far behind adding 15.
Alexandra Grejtak (New Ulm, Minn.) had a hand in the Vikings powerhouse offense coming away with 49 assists.

Defensively,
Mackenna Hinz (Burnsville, Minn./Rosemount) led the Vikings with an impressive 24 digs, while teammates
Anna Nelson (Cannon Falls, Minn.) and
Jessica Grimsley (Waconia, Minn./Mayer Lutheran) added 11 and nine digs for Bethany.

Overall, Bethany recorded 59 kills to Crown's 34, giving them the offensive advantage to win the four set match (25-21, 24-26, 25-19, 25-18).

Next up, the Vikings travel to Saint Peter on Friday, September 25
th for another non-conference match up against the Gusties of Gustavus Adolphus, scheduled for a 7 p.m. start time.Â
