Men's Soccer Begins 2016 Season

 
BELOIT, Wis. – The Bethany men's soccer team began the 2016 season on the road Saturday afternoon against Beloit College. The Buccaneers defeated the Vikings by a final score of 2-1.
 
Bethany struck first in the contest just under seven minutes into the game, and held that lead into halftime. Scoring the lone goal for the Vikings in the opening game of the season was sophomore Kenneth Johnson (Rogers, Minn.). The goal by Johnson was assisted by sophomore teammate Meles Abraha (St. Paul, Minn.)
 
Next on the schedule is a contest tomorrow (Sept. 5) against Rockford University to close out the first road trip for the men's soccer team.
