WACONIA, MN – The Bethany Lutheran men's golf team hit the links today at the Island View Invitational hosted by Crown College. It was the first time the team has played under new head coach Josh Pederson and they had a strong showing, finishing in second place overall with multiple top 10 finishes.
 
The order of the team finishes was:
 
1. St. Scholastica Blue – 317
2. Bethany Lutheran – 329
3. University of Northwestern – 337
4. St. Scholastica Gold – 340
5. North Central – 352
 
The Vikings turned in six top 10 finishes with Gabe Stoesz leading the way. The freshman from Waseca competed as an individual and finished tied for 2nd overall with a 77. Sam Havnen and Tom Havnen tied for 7th place with an 81. Zach Curtis, Daniel Nitardy, and Noah Fick were all close behind, tying for 10th place with an 82. Eli Hallman and Nick Neubauer tied for 16th place with an 84.
