ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference released its 2025 golf awards Wednesday and Bethany men's senior Keaton Ginter (Faribault) and women's sophomore Lydia Schmid (Mankato) have been selected All-Conference. Men's first-year Tyson Wicklund (Vernon, British Columbia, Canada) was also recognized as an Honorable Mention selection.
Ginter earns First Team honors for the second consecutive season and has been recognized by the Conference all four seasons after receiving honorable mention in both 2022 and 2023. Ginter led the Vikings all fall with a team-best 74.0 stroke average after 12 rounds. Ginter posted his lowest round of 69 at the first meet of the season. He earned medalist honors twice, winning the Wittenberg Cup and the Knights Classic. He also finished in the top-five five times, including a runner-up finish at the UMAC Championships.
Schmid earns Second Team All-UMAC for the first time after leading the Vikings with an 88.92 stroke average after playing 12 rounds. She earned medalist honors at the Knights Classic. Schmid also finished in the top-five three times and the top-10 six times. Schmid finished 12th at the UMAC Championships. Schmid was also named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
Wicklund averaged 78.55 strokes after playing in 11 rounds. He finished in the top-five twice and the top-10 four times with a low round of 73 at the BLC Invite. First-year August Waxin was the Vikings' representative on the All-Sportsmanship Team.
