NEW ULM, Minn. - Bethany men's golf took third place out of six teams Thursday at the MLC Spring Invite, played at New Ulm Country Club. The Vikings shot a 322 (+42), which was 11 strokes behind the winner Northwestern. The Bethany women sent three golfers and did not have a team score.
Julian Bhardwaj led the Vikings with a six-over par 76, which tied for second place out of 60 golfers. Victor Geijerman and Matthew Olmanson tied for 11th with a score of 81, Eli Wetzel tied for 26th with an 84, and Anthony Nicolai finished 31st with an 85.
Lydia Schmid led the Viking women with an 89, placing 10th. Mattie Mears tied for 16th with a 95 and Flora Wegner took 23rd with a 99.
Bethany is next in action Friday and Saturday at the UW-Superior Spring Invite at Turtleback Golf Course in Rice Lake, Wis.
