Vikings Look to Extend Winning Streak Against Rams

MANKATO, Minn.-- The Bethany Lutheran men's soccer team (4-2 overall) hosts North Central (1-6) Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Caswell North. This will be a nonconference contest. The Vikings have won their last three-straight and the Rams have dropped their last five contests.

The Series
BLC leads the all-time series at 13-5-2, as the programs have met at least once a year since 2008.

Bethany Lutheran
Freshman Max Busch (Odenthal, Germany) leads the team with 10 goals for 20 points. Classmate Joao Bastos (Piracicaba, Brazil) follows with three goals and one assists for seven points. Freshman Luke Oosterbosch (Veldhoven, The Netherlands) has a team-best eight assists.

Senior Moritz Bruns (Leer, Germany) has a .840 save percentage and 0.83 goals against average.

Career Record Watch
Bruns is tied for fifth in goalkeeper wins (5) and ninth in saves (88). Senior Samuel Duran (Marshall, Minn.) is seventh in goals (12) and points (30). Classmate Jonny Sehloff (Mankato, Minn.) is tied for eighth in goals (11) and tied for 10th in points (24).

Busch is tied for ninth in goals (10) and tied for seventh in game-winning goals (3). Oosterbosch is tied for ninth in assists (8)

Oosterbosch is the single season record holder in assists (8) and he and Busch are tied for sixth with one PK. Busch is tied for fourth with three game-winning goals, tied for second in goals (10) and tied for fourth in points (20).

Bruns is tied for fifth in wins (3).

The Vikings are first in corner kicks/game (10.50), eighth in points/game (11.17), ninth in goals (24), 10th in assists/game (3.17) and total assists (19) and points (67), 15th in shots on goal/game (10.17),  23rd in shots/game (20.00), 49th in team goals against average (.667), and 66th in save percentage (.840).

Individually, Oosterbosch leads the country in assists (8), is fourth in assists/game (1.33), 42nd in points (12), and 60th in points/game (2.00).

Busch leads the nation in game-winning goals (3), goals (10) and goals/game (1.67), is third in points (20), fifth in points/game (3.33), 10th in shots on goal/game (3.00),  and 29th in shots/game (5.00).

Bruns is 68th in save percentage (.840), and 75th in goals against average (.827). Duran is 15th in assists (4).

North Central
Henry Puchuela is the leading scorer with two goals. Goalie Jerad Buse has recorded the most minutes in the net and has 37 saves.
