BECKER, Minn. - The Bethany Lutheran men's golf team competed at the UMAC Preview on Thursday afternoon at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker, Minn. and took fourth place out of eight teams with a score of +31. UW-Superior won the event with a team score of +16 with Andrew Rude and Nate Burke of UWS tying with Gordon Skaar of Northwestern for medalist honors with a score of 73 (+1).
Teien Murphy led the charge, posting three birdies in his first nine holes en route to shooting 77 (+5) on the day to finish in eight place. Arturo Beltran also had a good showing for the VIkings, as he posted a +2 on the back nine to fire off a 79 (+7). Rounding out the Bethany scores were Keaton Ginter who finished with an 81 (+9) and Eli Wetzel who posted an 82 (+10).
Bethany will now next be in action on Tuesday when they host their first event of the year in the Wittenburg Cup.
