MORTON, Minn. - The Bethany men's golf team won the Knights Classic on Tuesday, played at Dakota Ridge Golf Club, while the Viking women finished second. The men's squad carded a 16-over par 304 and the women posted a 447. Martin Luther and UM-Morris were the other two teams to compete.Â
Keaton Ginter earned medalist honors with an even-par 72. Matthew Olmanson took second and was three strokes behind at 75. Julian Bhardwaj finished third with a 76 and August Waxin rounded out the top-four scores with an 81, which tied for fifth place.Â
Lydia Schmid claimed medalist honors for the women, carding a 17-over par 89. Flora Wegner took fourth with a 96, Kennedy Halper finished 11th at 123, and Brianna Lienig tied for 15th with a 139.Â
Bethany heads to Kansasville, Wis. on Friday and Saturday for the Midwest Region Classic, played at Brighton Dale Golf Course.Â
