KANSASVILLE, Wis. - Bethany golf competed at the Midwest Region Classic on Friday and Saturday at Brighton Dale Links. The Viking men finished 38th in a field of 45 with a score of 325-305-630, while the women took 38th out of 39 with a 412-432-844.Â
As he has done all season, Keaton Ginter led the Viking men with a three-over par 77-70-144. Ginter's second round featured two birdies and an eagle, and he finished in 31st place. Julian Bhardwaj and August Waxin tied for 187th with identical scores of 82-79-161. Anthony Nicolai rounded out the scoring, taking 187th with a 90-77-167.Â
The men's B team finished 29th overall and were led by Victor Geijerman, who carded a 75-74-149 for 45th place. Tyson Wicklund finished 55th with a 78-72-150, highlighted by four birdies in his second round.Â
Lydia Schmid led the women's squad with an 84-91-175 for 130th place. Flora Wegner took 185th with a 90-99-189, Kennedy Halper finished 210th at 110-104-214, and Brianna Lienig placed 222nd at 128-138-266.Â
Bethany next hosts the Viking Invite on Tuesday at Lakeside Club in Waseca, Minn.Â
