WASECA, Minn. - Bethany golf hosted the Viking Invite on Tuesday at the Lakeside Club. The Viking men finished third out of five teams with a score of 311, while the women took fourth out of fourth, carding a 441.
Tyson Wicklund led the men's top team in fifth place out of 44 golfers with a six-over par 76. Julian Bhardwaj finished eighth at 77 - highlighting his round with an eagle on the par five second hole - Keaton Ginter took 10th at 78, and Matthew Olmanson rounded out the scoring with an 80 for 13th place.
Anthony Nicolai and August Waxin led the B team, carding a 76 and 77, respectively, for fifth and eighth place. Noah Meyer had the best hole for the D team, marking an eagle on the par four fifth hole.
Lydia Schmid led the women's squad with a 91, taking fifth place out of 22 golfers. Kennedy Halper finished 16th with a 108, Flora Wegner took 17th at 109, and Brianna Lienig placed 21st with a 133.
Bethany continues hosting duties on Friday at the Crow River Golf Club in Hutchinson for the BLC Invite.
