BUFFALO LAKE, Minn. - The Bethany men's golf team won the MLC Fall Invitational on Saturday, played at Oakdale Golf Club, with a score of three-over par 291, while the women took fourth with a 423. 

The men's team score of 291 is the second best this season and just one stroke off the program record. August Waxin and Tyson Wicklund tied for second place with scores of even-par 72. Julian Bhardwaj was one stroke back at 73 in fifth place, while Keaton Ginter and Matthew Olmanson tied fir sixth place at 74. 

As she has done all season, Lydia Schmid led the women with an 86, which tied for seventh place. Flora Wegner tied for 18th at 102, Kennedy Halper tied for 25th at 115, and Brianna Lienig tied for 30th with a 120. 

Bethany next competes at the UMAC Championships on Oct. 2-4 at Pebble Creek in Becker.
