Mankato, Minn. - The Vikings fell to Minnesota-Morris in three close sets 25-22, 25-21, and 25-23 at home. This loss marks the third loss for Bethany Lutheran in just one week, first falling to Gustavus on Monday, Martin Luther on Wednesday in a conference match and then the defeat today.

Scoring was spread out with Emily Schrupp (Norwood, Minn./Mayer Lutheran) and Amanda Edmison (Mayer, Minn./Watertown-Mayer) leading the way with nine kills each. Nicole Jones (North Mankato, Minn./Mankato East) had 33 of the team’s 35 assists. Tayler Kahlow (Henderson, Minn./LeSueur-Henderson) had three service aces.

The Cougars had 43 kills compared to the Vikings 36. It was the little things that added up to Bethany Lutheran’s defeat as the Vikings had two more service errors compared to the Cougars, and two more serve receive errors.

Tomorrow the squad hopes to snap a three game losing streak as they host Presentation at 1 p.m.
