Box Score Volleyball Drops Non-Conference Match
MANKATO, Minn. – The Vikings volleyball team returned to play Tuesday night in the Sports and Fitness Center on the campus of Bethany Lutheran College, for a non-conference game against the Warriors from Waldorf College. Although the Vikings fought the Warriors until the end, they dropped the match in three sets (18-25, 21-25, 14-25).
Offensively for the Vikings,
Sarah Haynes (Madelia, Minn.) led the way with eight kills on the night, while teammates
Alannah Menk (St. Cloud, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice) and
Meagan Sons (Green Isle, Minn./Central) followed close behind with seven and five kills. Setter
Alexandra Grejtak (New Ulm, Minn.) led the way in assists for the Vikings with 22.
Defensively, the Vikings were able to come away with four blocks as a team, while
Jessica Grimsley (Waconia, Minn./Mayer-Lutheran) led the team in digs with 17 on the night. Teammate
Jasmine Carlson (Windom, Minn.) also added 10 digs for Bethany.
Next on the schedule, the volleyball team travels to Saint Bonifacius on Tuesday, October 20
th to take on the Crown Storm. This conference matchup between Bethany and Crown will begin at 7 p.m. The Vikings look to earn their second conference win in their third match this season against the Storm.
