Bethany Lutheran College Athletics

Bob Heidenreich was a member of two nationally ranked Bethany basketball teams from 1960-62 — both of which participated in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) national tournament. After a four-year stint with the Army where he also played and coached at different levels, Heidenreich finished out his collegiate career at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1967. Over a 19-year high school head coach career in Wisconsin at Colfax (three years) and Hudson (16 years), Heidenreich complied a 386-106 record. In 1998, Heidenreich was inducted to the Hudson High School Hall of Fame, and on September 30 of this year, he will be inducted into the Wisconsin Basketball Hall of Fame.
