Bethany Lutheran College Athletics

Mark Woods played for the Bethany men’s basketball team from 1977-79, being voted team captain his sophomore year. As a freshman, Woods was the MVP of the Anoka-Ramsey and Blue Waters Classic basketball tournaments. The following year, he was named to the All-Region XIII team and honorable mention NJCAA All-America.

Woods is now a college professor of humanities at Essex County College in Newark, NJ, and Kean University in Union, NJ.
